Two teenagers stole the Laptops, which the Veterans Administration was missing and would you know it after nearly four months and many FBI folks on the case it took them to find these teenage boys? Interesting, now then whose fault is it that these laptops were missing with important personal information and data? Well, one would have to ask why this information was all on a laptop to begin with in the first place. We sure here a whole lot about Identity Theft and yet nearly all the big cases with hundreds of thousands or millions of people losing data at one time, come from the government. And isnt it quite ironic indeed that the government is the one hounding all the businesses when they lose data and then an agency like the Veterans Administration with all their old stogy computer networks allows hundreds of thousands of personal data out in a single screw up? That is almost as hilarious as the Federal Trade Commission losing two laptops in Scottsdale, AZ when the FTC is in charge of fighting identity theft in the first place you see? The hypocrisy is unbelievable, as we have the FTC fining companies for losing data and the government including the FTC is giving it away faster than the businesses can collect it all. Consider all this in 2006. |
